THE PORLOCK HILL CLIMB
“It’s a beautiful scenic ride almost like an Alpine pass”
Sunday 29th September 2019.
See porlockhillclimb.co.uk for details
Porlock Hill is known as the steepest A road in the country with many stories of cars overheating going up and burning brakes coming down. The good news is that the Porlock Hill Climb is not going up the 1 in 4 main road climb but the longer, gentler and most definitely more scenic 4.2 mile Porlock Toll Road.
CLUB RIDES FOR ALL ABILITIES
Every Sunday - 9am
West Somerset College
1st Saturday of the month - 2pm
Minehead Station Car Park
We have club runs on Sunday and Wednesday mornings plus other ad-hoc rides. These rides cover West Somerset, Exmoor National Park and sometimes venture into Devon. Although there are lots of hills around here, the countryside is spectacular.
The Sunday ride is divided into 3 groups depending on whether you wish to ride as fast as possible, or just take it easy.
